In 1967 when Dave gave me my diamond ring, what I
chose was not in fashion . . . solitaires were all the
rage. I always seemed to choose a path that wasn't
mainstream.
This patch of Trilliums shows a lonely red trillium in a
field of otherwise colourless trilliums . . . a solitaire
in a woodland setting. It caught my eye because I shared
its spirit . . . you can be different and still be
beautiful . . . you don't have to be an imitation of
your neighbors or a movie star. Pull your shoulders
back, put your head up, stand tall . . . do you feel it
. . . . that spirit!
Attitude is all in how you look at things. Be different!
